History

Since middle school, I have taken a real liking to graphic design. And since then, I have created website layouts using my HTML, CSS, and graphic design skills.

Each one of my layouts has a little history behind it, especially the newer ones. I started out doing very simple ones until I had developed a style and a feel for how to make them. The parts that usually take the longest are the actual pictures and graphics that go into the site. Planning a layout also takes a while. I have at least a dozen layout designs right now that haven't even made it out of the Photoshop stage yet, and more that are waiting for coding.

Inspiration

Inspiration for anything that I do comes from all areas of my life. I might see a piece of artwork and try to create something similar, or I might be talking to someone and then poof - an image flashes in front of my eyes and I think, "That would be a GREAT layout." Other times, I get inspiration from random things - like a particular arrangement of fruit in the grocery store or a strange stain on the ground. I've learned to keep my eyes and mind open to such things.

Keeping Track

  1. Ame to Fukousha - This is a pink and green fractal layout that is nearly ready for coding - I just need to figure out a navigation system.
  2. Owarinai - This layout features Nanase Aikawa, and is designed to be iframe. I'm trying to convert it to div layer in some way though, and that is why it is still in photoshop.
  3. Trilobite - A fractal layout that I've just started. I'm trying to make it a bit different from my other fractal layouts, but we'll see how it turns out.
  4. Imaginary - A layout using a peacock feather as the focal point. Nearly ready for coding.
  5. [Version 11 - Lady Picture Show] - This will probably be my site's next layout. Look foward to that. I'm putting this into Photoshop for some design changes.

  1. Thorned - Layout based on the movie "Teeth." If you've seen the movie, then kudos. This will be either a table layout or div layout.
  2. Wish Forever - This will be an iframe layout with div layer navigation. It is an abstract layout.
  3. Sound of Music - I know that I did a layout of the same title a while ago, but I wanted a title to fit the theme, and it just fit. It features a violin as an object. It will most likely be a layer layout with a fixed background.
  4. Heysatan - This is an iframe layout based on the song "Heysatan" by Sigur Ros. I might have to put this one back into Photoshop, because I am having background issues with it.
  5. Awake - This is an fractal layout based off the song "Awake" by Godsmack. It will be a div layer layout with three content blocks.
