DeviantART Accounts

In October of 2006, I discovered deviantART. Since then, I have uploaded more than 200 art pieces and stock images to my accounts. Please check them out:

greenaleydis.deviantart.com - My main art account. I have everything from my charcoal drawings to my website layouts on this account, and everything in between - poetry, photographs, fractal pieces, signatures... all types of things. Take a look through my gallery, and make sure you let me know if you visited my deviantART profile. Don't hesitate to friend me!

greenaleydis-stock.deviantart.com - My stock image account. This account also has tutorials and brush sets, and the stock images range from grunge patterns to fractal stock images, to images of flowers and landscapes. I also have some other 2D stocks - like old parchment and poker cards. Make sure you browse through my selection, and let me know if you use anything.

If you have an account, don't hesitate to friend me and state that you found me through my website. I'm always happy to hear website feedback from an artist's perspective.

What I've Learned

DeviantART has taught me a lot. When I first joined, I spent most of my time browsing the art that was available, leaving comments and saving pieces to my computer that were inspirational. I learned to appreciate how much time artists take to put things together, and how hard it is to get recognized on the site. I spent a lot of time uploading things that were not necessarily good artwork, and it took a while for me to realize that if I put more into my artwork and don't always try to just "make a pretty picture," then I will receive more positive feedback. So I tried that. I put my heart and soul into my artwork, and used it as a way to express myself - and I got results.

I've met some really talented people on the site, and have seen the art of hard working individuals who have made something of their talents. All of these people continue to be an inspiration to me, and I have no idea where me artwork would be without the site. I owe the deviantART community so much.

So I've started to give back, doing whatever I can. I try to expose underappreciated artists, stop art thieves, and communicate my criticisms and support to artists with potential. I only hope that I can help someone else as much as other people have helped me on the site.
